What is a “token”?

In one line

A token measures how much the AI reads and writes.

Think of it as a ruler for text. What you show the AI plus what it hands back is what you spend. A short question costs a little; handing over a long document costs more.

Monthly tokens are per person. On the Team plan, each teammate gets 1M tokens a month of their own.

And when they run out? Work does not stop — connect the AI you already use and carry on for free.

Questions we get about billing

Q1Do I pay anything during the beta?
No. We do not take payments during the beta. Before any paid plan starts, we will tell you the price, payment methods, billing cycle and refund terms and ask for your agreement first. See the Terms of Service →
Q2What happens when the monthly tokens run out?
Work does not stop. Connect the AI you already use and carry on for free — on every plan, free or paid. The canvas, the history and team sharing keep working regardless of tokens, and usage is visible for the whole team in one place.
Q3Is there annual billing?
The listed prices are per editor, per month. Annual billing is being prepared for general availability; if you need an annual contract sooner, email us.
Q4What if the team grows or shrinks?
You are billed for the people who edit. Viewers are free on Team and above, so more people can follow a project without changing the bill. If editors exceed the plan limit we will let you know, and how changes in headcount are reflected on an invoice will be explained together with the paid-plan notice.
Q5Can I get a refund?
There are no payments yet, so there is nothing to refund. When paid plans begin, refund terms will be published with the terms before they take effect and your agreement will be requested. Anything unclear before then — hello@drofi.ai.
Q6How do we start an Enterprise rollout?
